Users Slam Jennifer Lopez for Wearing ‘Ridiculous Outfit’ at Her New Movie Premiere – Photo

Jennifer Lopez stepped onto the red carpet at the premiere of “Unstoppable,” looking dashing in a toned-down outfit. However, fans weren’t in love with the styling, pointing out their reasons.

At the 2024 AFI Fest in Los Angeles, Lopez wore pieces from No. 21’s Resort 2025 collection, including an oversized cream canvas jacket, a deep-cut blouse, and a pink bubble-hem micromini skirt.

She completed the outfit with a brown leather belt, a small handbag, and nude platform heels by Gucci. The movie star was attending the premiere of her new movie, “Unstoppable,” which is a biographical sports drama film that documents the story of wrestler Anthony Robles.

Chris Appleton, a hairstylist, fashioned Jennifer Lopez’s highlighted brunette hair with a center part, and Scott Barnes, a makeup artist, worked on her face glam, giving her a smoky eye and soft pink-nude lip.

Fans had mixed reactions to Lopez’s ensemble and they didn’t hold back sharing their opinions. Some were quick to critique her choice of heels, “She shd [sic] get better fitting shoes though,” while another commented, “With all the money that this woman has, she couldn’t buy shoes that actually fit her?”

Others seemed unimpressed with the entire look, saying, “Ridiculous outfit.” Even her outfit’s seasonal fit was questioned, “This is definitely not fall fashion, and it’s also not flattering. It’s giving CHICKEN LEGS and that’s not the JLO we know.”

More fans chimed in, saying they didn’t like the styling done by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. One fan stated, “Shoes look like they don’t fit right. Sorry, I’m not liking the look. Just my opinion.”

Another echoed, “Shoes are big on her.” A user with similar views added, “She doesn’t have the best legs and those huge shoes make her look like a pilón 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

Other people pointed out, “I’m not feeling this look. The shoes and the jacket is [sic] a no for me.” “Sorry but Im not feeling her look. And whats up with that sad face? Isnt she promoting her own movie? Smile a little at least!! Flawless? She is just wearing a jacket doubled her size [sic].” another person agreed. One user humorously noted, “Old lady knees.”

Despite the mixed reviews, one fan defended her age-defying appearance, “She looks good for 50 regardless of the outfit looking regular.” Another individual concurred, “She looks amazing! But the styling is way off.”

Some fans had nothing but praise for the actress’s beauty and fashion, One fan gushed, “She’s the most (GORGEOUS) women [sic] to ever exist like you’re freaking (STUNNING) 😍,” while another admirer wrote, “Love the long hair 😍!”

Fans couldn’t get enough of her look, with one highlighting, “Those legs!!! She looks gorgeous!!😍😍🔥🔥 [sic],” and another crowning her a “FASHION QUEEN 😍😍😍😍😍.”

Lopez’s style choices frequently spark public conversation. In May 2024, at her film “Atlas” premiere in Mexico City, she turned heads in a flowing chiffon Chloé gown from the brand’s fall 2024 collection.

The gown had a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. She completed the look with nude peep-toe heels by Elie Saab and diamond drop earrings by Anabela Chan.

In early October 2024, the 55-year-old was also under fire for posing in a revealing leopard print outfit in a shoot. As we previously reported, the superstar posed in a bold ensemble, which some found inappropriate for a mother of two.

In one of the photos shared by the magazine on Instagram, Lopez wore a revealing bikini bottom paired with a cropped leopard-print jacket over her shoulders. She completed her look with oversized gold earrings, a chunky necklace with hanging medallions, and black platform shoes.

Although the photo shoot, part of Interview’s 55th-anniversary celebration, was seen as fashionable by some, Lopez’s revealing outfit drew mixed reactions.

“Sorry she has kids put some clothes on nn one cares go away [sic],” one user commented. Another frustrated user wrote, “Can she disappear for along time ? She’s definitely not someone to look up to, even for her own children. She should start looking at the roles she takes and start leaving her clothes on [sic].”

Other detractors echoed similar sentiments. “That’s not classy,” a critic remarked while another added, “I don’t understand why she needs to be in the spotlight all the time. Guess it is ego. Wish she would just take a break and focus on her kids.”

Despite the criticism, Lopez’s fans rallied in support, praising her confidence and bold fashion sense. “The styling is sooo [sic] good,” one fan commented, while another posted, “Geez this woman is amazing 😍.” Another admirer gushed, “Loving the leopard look🐆🖤.”

Lopez’s photos coincide with an introspective conversation with comedian Niki Glaser. In it, Lopez reflected on the lessons she’s learned throughout her life and how she believed she had reached a stable place after years of personal growth.

However, she admitted that life remained unpredictable, “My whole world exploded,” underscoring the challenges she continues to face despite her success.

Lopez openly discussed one of the hardest times in her life—her recent divorce from actor Ben Affleck over the summer. When Glaser asked Lopez if she had any regrets about the split, she responded, “Not one second. That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did.”

Reflecting on her growth since the split, Lopez explained, “But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me really hard over the head with a sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. Don’t have to do it again.'”

She also acknowledged that, despite learning important lessons, she doesn’t have everything figured out. Now, she’s excited about being independent. “Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I fucking do when it’s just me flying on my own,” she added.
