Before joining the PGA, Waugh held prominent roles in the financial industry, including serving as CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas.
Under his leadership, the bank experienced unprecedented growth, and he was instrumental in creating the former Deutsche Bank Championship.
His strategic insight also led to the launch of the PGA’s groundbreaking partnership with Omni Stillwater Woods and the City of Frisco, marking a new era for PGA Headquarters in Frisco, Texas.
Key Milestones at the PGA of America
Since taking the helm, Waugh has overseen several landmark initiatives.
These include a transformative $500 million partnership to relocate PGA Headquarters to Frisco, Texas, and securing Cadillac as the Official Vehicle of the PGA of America and its major championships.
Additionally, Waugh facilitated the launch of three PGA Golf Academies in China in collaboration with Mission Hills Group and PacificPine Sports Group.
Philanthropy and Personal Life
Beyond his professional achievements, Waugh is deeply committed to philanthropy.
He has served on numerous boards, including the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, YMCA of Greater New York, and Multiple Sclerosis Society of Greater New York.
His efforts have also advanced opportunities for women in finance through the Women on Wall Street Conference.
