Are you interested in joining the growing trend of affluent individuals opting for leasing over homeownership? This lavish property might be just what you’re looking for!
After two years on the market and significant price reductions, Jeffrey Feinberg has listed his extravagant Brentwood mansion for rent at a steep $250,000 per month. The property is represented by Dan Malka of Engel & Völkers.
Feinberg, a hedge fund executive, purchased the mansion for $44 million—$1 million over its initial asking price—back in June 2021. He quickly flipped it for sale a year later with a $4 million price increase. By the end of 2022, he relisted it for just under $43 million, later lowering the price to $38 million in early 2023. Set on over an acre in a secluded cul-de-sac overlooking the Getty Museum, the modern residence, known as The Oasis, features seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms across nearly 17,000 square feet of living space. Luxurious amenities include a TV wall, a car gallery, a sports simulator room, a 3-hole putting green, and a Kobe Bryant-themed basketball court.
Highlights of the main level include a stunning great room with a dramatic floating staircase, a custom icicle chandelier, and a living moss wall that leads to a succulent garden below. A floor-to-ceiling stone wall houses a linear fireplace in the living room, while additional features include a full wet bar with a wine station, a dining room with a 1,000-gallon aquarium, and a gourmet kitchen equipped with a separate catering kitchen and walk-in freezer. The upstairs primary suite boasts a wood-paneled coved ceiling, a linear fireplace, a seating area, a private balcony with a fire pit, and dual closets and baths. The lower level includes a climate-controlled 250-bottle wine cellar, a 12-seat movie theater with a starlit ceiling, sports simulator and massage rooms, a plunge pool, and an entertainment lounge with an auto gallery for up to 10 vehicles.
A mirrored gym leads to an outdoor basketball court honoring the late Kobe Bryant. The grounds, primarily turf, also feature a 70-foot infinity-edge pool and spa next to a cabana equipped with a TV bar, pizza oven, and barbecue station. Additional amenities include three roof decks and a detached two-story guesthouse, all secured with a state-of-the-art laser system and a 24-hour guardhouse.
Feinberg, a former managing director at Soros Fund Management, now runs Feinberg Investments, a limited partnership focused on his personal wealth. Known for his eye-catching properties, he previously sold a $15 million mansion in Hidden Hills to YouTube star Jeffree Star and an oceanfront home in Santa Monica for $10.6 million. He also owned a large compound in Malibu, which was sold by his ex-wife for $21.8 million.
